Congratulations to the winners. I had the opportunity to read all of the entries and to be honest, every one deserved to make the top three. Good competition. Good response from members.

Well, I see there are now 4 entries, so that puts me out of the money. lol. Some serious authors here for sure.

Where are all of the writers? I'm not seeing any poems for this competition. Am I missing something?

Congatulations on your achievement, Anna. I deleted all my posts.

What do you mean, Larry, and why?
I didn't use any of the 10 words in my posts.

My comments at this point are mostly conceptual and theme based.

It seems that the current concept is to spread everything out across the page in over-sized type and images. It seems to be a waste of space to have large images in addition to descriptors. Are images even needed? IMHO, condensing the page into "eye-sight" information would be preferable.

That being said, why aren't there any sidebars? It is much preferable to be able to cursor to a point as opposed to scrolling to a point. I honestly feel like I went to a restaurant with one of those 20-page menus with 300 different options when all I really wanted was a hamburger.

Lastly, just so I'm clear. I'm grateful that SS is still here and will work with whatever options are available in the final format.

I find jumping all around the page to find what used to be at my fingertips a bit convoluted. Is there some reason why the blue site could look more like the red site format?  Just asking.

I don't mind change at all. It will take time to review the changes. So far it appears I have lost badges. Still checking everything else.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants of the contest. All of you came in first in my book.
I don't usually chit-chat but when you bring up baseball I need to step up and educate the masses. If you don't have these five movies as favorites, then you know nothing about baseball.

The Natural
Major League
For the Love of the Game
Field of Dreams
Bull Durham

BTW... Moneyball was entertaining but it was based on real characters and made asshats look like heroes and dedicated baseball people look like fools.

Other than that, a tip of my cup to all.

I had this quiz on SS several years ago and thought maybe new members would like a try.

If you remember 0-5 = You're still young
If you remember 6-10 = You are getting older
If you remember 11-15 = Don't tell your age,
If you remember 16-25 = You're older than dirt!

I might be older than dirt but those memories are some of the best parts of my life.

I had 18!

Meredith (James) added a few more, but I do not know how to change the scoring.

You left out:

43. Pocket combs
44. Brylcream
45. Burma Shave road signs
46. Rolled up shirt sleeves
47. Transistor AM/FM radios

Congratulations, Larry. You have a legacy of quality endeavors that much like Babe Ruth, the record will be a lasting one, and unlikely to be matched.
Granted. It's a mile high in the air and now you must reel it in... with your feet.

I wish I was 16 again.
In my shot glass
A drop or two is all that will fit
I wish it was full of M & M's, but alas
Someone keeps pouring more spirits
Seasoned by the sow
Pork rinds crackling hot
RC Cola would taste good right now
But water is all I got
Granted. Moment passed. She's gone now.

I wish I owned a string of kissing booths and I was the only employee.
Granted. Your bat's name is Wilhelm. He hangs upside down in your hall closet and eats grapes.

I wish I could just sail away and never look back.
Granted. But it's always day and never night.

I wish I could travel at the speed of light.
Granted... now you both are a comedy duet in a run-down bar in Weed, CA.

I wish I was a Greek God...
Granted. But you have to use flat crayons on your sidewalk.

I wish I was younger.
Dressed in silken wings
Flutters silently gliding
As fairies dance and sing
Yet forever hiding.
