This is just a fun one that hopefully will work the creative muscles, too. Make up a short scene- longer than a sentence, but no more than a paragraph- about the person above you.

Since I'm first, I'll choose: Chuck, since his story was the last one I read.

Chuck parked his car a half-block away, and watched. The sun was high in the cloudless sky when he got there, but now, he was shrouded in darkness. The orange glare of a nearby streetlight providing the only illumination, but also would make it hard to go unnoticed on foot if he had to. He'd been here, on assignment, for nearly three weeks. Always a different car, sometimes even with different disguises, but always for the same purpose. At some point, something would happen, and when it did, the hundreds of hours of boredom would give way to a few moments of sheer panic.
Heads turned to follow the beautiful young woman in an elegant black dress as she walked to her seat in the expensive Italian restaurant. Xuani could not help but smile to herself as the conversation at each table paused in her presence before continuing after she had moved on. She was in her element, and her confidence was a force that could not be ignored by man, woman, or child.
The night was hot and still. The scents of Chinese cooking mixed with stale refuse. Echoes of jazz music floated on the air, making the dark alley feel like a scene out of a Raymond Chandler novel. Gunshots rang out. Footsteps thudded down the street. Rembacher looked around, trying to see who was coming before they saw him. That one little act could mean the difference between life and death on the dirty streets of New Orleans...
Mr. SmartyPants slipped silently into a shadowed doorway, his senses keen and focused on the scene that was playing out in the dark, secluded alley. The dim light over the back door of the seedy bar near by revealed nothing, nothing at all; for the moment, nothing but the echos of the gunshots hovered in the fetid air, and the odour of cordite mingled with the heady scent of a woman's perfume, assailing his nostrels. He leanded forward and inhaled deeply, wondering if he should remain hidden, or slide into the shadows like a sleek black cat seeking its prey. The atmosphere prevalent in the dead of night invigorated him, as it always did, and the hint of danger only served to heighten his senses.
It was a beautifully warm night in early June, Gypsymoth was curled up in her favorite chair by the open window, absentmindedly twirling her glass of wine. The moonlight was streaming in her window, illuminating her her face. Leaning black and closing her eyes she was lost in her own thoughts, thinking about how much she would like to see him again. The smell of lilacs in the air told her she was getting that wish. Gypsymoth smiling, opened her eyes, to see him leaning against the wall watching her.
The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me. ~Ayn Rand, The Fountainhead
When I finally awoke, my eyes opened to see the forest passing at a blur. I was in the car, warm and secure, and I knew I was being taken away in the nick of time. I turned and looked at Lola, serenely and happily driving; she hadn't noticed me stirring yet, or so I thought. Just then, she told me it was my life, but she'd love to be the one that helped me grab onto it again. Her voice was steady but gentle, barely rising above the sounds of the heater and the road underneath us. I turned again to gaze out the side window. The snow had been on the ground for three months, and would soon thaw, exposing the constant flaws yet again, for another long season. I nearly smiled, then fell asleep again, this time in a far better place.
Flowers dotted the hillside as the young couple strolled through the grass toward the shade of the single tree. He took off his backpack, and unpacked the blanket. He shook it vigorously before spreading it out on the ground. She knelt, opening her basket. She laid the things out just so. POP! The dull ring of the cork giving up it's last hold on the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon echoed faintly. She held out the glasses - real glass this time. Not those crappy fake plastic wine glasses from before. He smiled at her as he poured. For a time, the hustle and bustle of city life, was just a bad memory. All that dirt, all that filth, all the noise and confusion and headache-making stress slowly evaporated, leaving nothing but clean air and laughter. "Xuani," he said, soberly. "Ever wondered why the fuck it is that we have to keep on going back?"
Mr. SmartyPants sighed as he stood at the edge of town, bathed in shadow. The township of Logan had changed since he’d been gone, and not for the better. Once a thriving community, now the streets were ruled by tumbleweeds and ghosts. Gone were the glory days, when gold flowed like honey from a bee hive in the taverns and even the poorest of folk had enough to keep them through the winter. Only memories remained, both joyful and painful for Smarty. With a sigh, he brushed the dust from his hat, placing it back atop his head, and turned his back on the empty buildings. Mounting his horse he rode east, not sparing the town another glance.
Waking up early, and walking down to the beach, the most beautiful Rachel, hands me a cup of coffee, and we sit for just a moment and taking in the sun. How did you sleep, beautiful? I ask her. I slept fine my dear, I am ready for another day ahead. its so great to be here in Florida with you my dear friend. Is there any big plans for today dear? She turns and ask me. I just smile, and Say we have to go to the airport today. I see her face light up, and the biggest smile comes to her face. What for Angela, she ask me with the biggest smile on her face. Well we are going to pick up, Alexis, and Jimmy. I reply back to her. Next thing I know, Rachel is tackling me into the sand, and hugging me like there is no tomorrow.

Gosh, I suck....It was an attempt.
I walk a lonely road The only one that I have ever known Don't know where it goes But its home to me and I walk alone.
Tears woke up after having had a refreshing cat nap on the beach. The wind played gently with her hair, brushing it out of her eyes. She blinked once or twice and looked towards the sea. It was enticing, and she could have sworn that it called out to her. Walking, then running towards it, she plunged happily into the water, submerging herself in it and then turning to float on her back, as she watched the clouds drift lazily across the sky. She was filled with a sense of peace, and all the stress and unhappiness flowed from her into the soothing healing salt water. It was this that she needed, she realised, and her tears were finally dried.
She swayed back and forth in her dance. Sexy in her movements and seducing the men around her. She smirked as she saw a man staring at her with a want to just join her in her dance. She tried to slowly sway over to him to give him more of a look as she tripped over her own feet. Fell right down on her face as the man started to laugh. As he laughed at her he got up to help her by grabbing on to her shoulder and pulls up so that she had something to get up with. She brushed herself off as he brushed the hair out of her face and smiled. Her face was beet red and as she looked into his face she knew that he was the one she was looking for all along. He asked her out slowly and the words just flowing out.
She slowly turned in her bed, her movements restricted by the two dogs and three cats lying on top of the covers. As she tried to stretch, they all looked at her for disturbing their sleep. Then as normal, they slowly got up; the dogs heading for the door to be let out and the cats heading to their feeding area. She threw the covers off and climbed out of bed. After a quick stop in the bathroom, she let the dogs out and opened up a can of food for the cats. Next, all the water bowls got filled, then the dogs bowls. Finally, after taking care of them, and talking to the birds for a minute, she finally got around to feeding herself.
We don't know how much we don't know.
As the sun sank below the backdrop of the Illinois skyline, the woman who called herself adele relaxed by the window. A trace of the banana split she had just eaten was starting to solidify on the corner of her mouth and Alison Krauss played in the background. The abrupt appearance of a shadowy figure at the window broke the magic spell.
The lesser spotted guest. He or she, nobody really knows, lurks around and scopes the forums to see just how much fun we, as members, have. Some are actual members, just not signed in, some are just too shy to sign up. Or maybe they think that they don't have the writing chops to post stories. That's not true, anyone can write, it just take some practice, but once you try it's easy to learn to carve a niche. The guest is a strange creature, on the outside, looking in, they never really get involved, but in some ways know the members better than the other members. They are quite valuable to the site because they get site traffic up. Some even become members, eventually.

The haunting strains, plucked by nimble fingers, made my skin roughen. I peeked through the doors and saw the light gleaming on the green guitar. I smiled. The melody would be another success. A new piece of wordless poetry, to share with the world.
I awaken to the bright eye of my lover awaiting me. I arise and we become as one. The poetry of wordless love and passion. How will it end?
He kneels in supplication before me. Honor bound to obey my every command. I give him his due, I bid him rise. Arise Sir Knight and go forth and defend the helpless.
She watches as I move away on one final quest, one more chance for glory. It is clear that her eyes and heart will follow as I go forth. She knows that I may never return. No matter. I will complete my mission whatever the cost.
He rises from a shadow on the ground, dressed in chain mail and brandishes a sword of gold. He strides out of sight to where I cannot see, to where I cannot watch the man who is to protect us. I hear screams and run to the place where I have heard him, only to see his bravery in the thrust of the golden sword into the heart of the fiery red dragon.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.
-Robert Frost
She walks to him and bows deeply with gratitude. The quest was successful. She wishes him to follow her into the palace and be thanked by the populace which had been hiding in fear for days on end, slowly starving. As they walk into the palace grounds she places her arm through his and proudly introduces him to her family. The rejoicing begins.

In his gallant armor, the lion takes up arms. For his beautiful princess he must do battle and once victory is claimed he would rush home to hold his kitten once again. Inseparable this pair is. Where she goes, he would follow, and where he must leave to fight, she awaits his return. In anxiousness, time seems too slow where they're apart, too fast when together. But eventually, maybe in this life or one far in the future, but ever still eventually, they will be together forever.
3rebels4 feels lonely, no one really plays this game and it becomes forgotten on the second page. Is there anyone else who would play this game with dear little Feb? Because she now a bit weirder out, she's typing this in third person...
Princess Rebel having been out playing with all her pets comes inside to relax. She decides that its time to go and check on her forum posts and enjoy her friends here on Stories space.
Just being in the presence of Reb and Wendy makes me feel very lucky. One is so full of herself with her youthful exuberance and the other is exploring her emotions and heartfelt feelings. Both these ladies are so special to this old guy who counts himself fortunate to have them as friends.
Snoop was sneaking around the forums one day. He hoped to catch the devious little rebel off guard. He took out each and every forum topic one by one. However, when he finally finished the last one. To his dismay, Feb had polished off the rest. Oh but one day… one day he'll win this game.
Looking for some inspiration for her next masterpiece, Rebel stumbles in to check her forum posts on SS. Oh no! she says as she finds Snoop in her winning spot. She Offers him one of
AD's delicous cupcakes and takes back her spot.
Mystic angel is a kind, fair, and sweet. She gracefully strolls around ss without a care. She takes on the forums with a cheer, and reads the stories on here. With a smile she shines her light upon this great site.
3rebels4 charged into the opening, confident in her wolfpack behind her. This was her world. The forest held no fear for her. She led her pack to the ridge and waited patiently. The moon was about to rise.
