Mr. Robin

Natures critters are such fun to watch.

Red breast gleams in the morning sun.Akin to a tapestry of pure copper spun. Singing a song to welcome your day.Early bird gets the worm, they do say. Watching you flit and chirp fills my heart.Making me beam, my days off to good start. I just wanted to thank you for the smile. Will carry it with me all day, every mile.

Hello Stranger

Just a random poem.

Hello stranger It's nice to meet you No it's great to meet you No it's wonderful to meet you No it's a miracle that I met you But you know not of I And you may never know, The memory of you is sketched in the stars And you and I both know that the sun must set as it will rise in the morning And as each second, minute and hour pass you will be there and I will be here Because the Earth will continue spinning The waves will...

After everything that had happened, things seemed to be going great but I wasn't sure how long our good luck would last. Foxi had settled into the pack without a problem and like the others, she too looked to me as the leader. Which was fine until I found my mate. Nurse was the happiest mother in the world I would think. She had a new litter of pups and Tamer. The twin male pups were growing fast and were almost ready to...

Surrender

Things always look brighter behind a smile.

If I should quitWill I ever knowHow seeds set Burst and grow Never would I see Them bud and bloomIf I lock myself away In a darkened gloom Cry yes I can If things go wrongSing to myselfMy self pity song Let my soul Be consumed with blackBut no that isn't meI will always fight back Wipe tears from my eyesDusting off my jeansSearch out light and colorPlaying on nature's screens Observing flowers bloomAnimals as they freely...

Revenge would have to wait until Tame was well enough to move around more easily. So if he had to run for his life, he would be able to do so or at least run far enough to hide. Tank had gone off at first light. I wasn't sure what he was up to, but I hoped it wasn't something stupid like going after the rogues on his own. But my worry had been for nothing as he came trotting back with a rabbit bouncing around his closed j...

Season to Season

Saying goodbye to Summer.

Autumn colors now shown Frost has touched your leaves Asleep soon beginning of fall Creating a patchwork tapestry First light alive with sparkle Awaiting a new warming sun To glisten with pearly dew Cooler day and longer nights Notifies Winter soon will come Summer is but now a memory Those long hot days on the run Soon a blanket of pure white Will envelope you for awhile Until the cold nights give way To Spring's lengthe...

She

She's everything in the universe.

She's heaven and earth, my muse. beauty personified, life in every new birth. She's breaking light at dawn, a pleasant warming sun. fury in an afternoon storm, as hot as lightning spawn. She's an ageless goddess, the face upon the moon,a soft velvet touch,a vision of loveliness. She's songs upon the breeze, flowers covered with dew, clouds in the heavens, flitting birds in the trees. She's a storm out of control, blustery winter...

The brilliance of the light, reflecting freshly showered grass, is hypnotically intriguing. Blade by blade of subtle innateness, a dew drop now has passed. Comely daisies softly dancing, the breeze is singing its song. Mesmerizing the senses, the petrichor in the air; almost gone. Brilliant rays of sun shine began to illuminate the day, as the steam rises from my coffee cup.

Towhee

Observing a friend at sun up.

My little friend so nice to see.Awaiting the sun tiny Towhee. Feathers fluffed into a ball.On a branch he sounds his call. Catlike mews make his presence known.Flitting from branch to the ground alone. Foraging the grass for bugs to eat. Then back to the tree taking a seat. Repeating his almost scolding call.Warming rays quicken his bawl. Scanning surroundings with his red eye.Taking wing again into an azure sky. Wishing I...

The snow fell hard for days making it impossible to hunt and the food supply was running low. The cold weather was hardest on the pups as Nurse wouldn't let them outside the den for fear they would get lost or become sick. I watched as the pups become depressed and aggressive towards the rest of the pack. I snapped and growled at the pups until they fell in line and settled down. Since the weather was cold we didn't have...

I let out a happy yelp and rushed over to Tank, only to come to a stop short of reaching him. He was limping badly and his leg was bleeding. I wasn't sure if he would be aggressive towards me, so I lowered myself to the ground and slowly belly crawled my way to him and whimpered. He snorted and panted before dropping to the ground himself. There was a hole in his front left leg and it reeked of human. He had been attacked...
