Because I don't think you understand how much I hurt,

How many times I wake up in the middle of the night screaming,

I don't think you know how many times I look over my shoulder.

Even though you're 1000 miles away,

In my mind you could be behind me in a second.

I don't like loving my life in terror,

But because of you I feel I have to.

I hate being afraid of the dark.

I hate sleeping, because I know you'll be there.

When will I be able to live my life away from fear?

When you leave this world,

To me you can still be next to me in a second.

Because if you did you wouldn't do things to hurt me.

If you loved me I wouldn't be waiting for you to part from this world.
