Some people did not know what to call her

she was a mixture of sweet sixteen

and a touch of incredible maturity

No one knew where she came from

but they knew when she left

No one could explain her appearance

and her generous sunshine smile

willing to be  a help in all ways

no matter the time of day or the cost

and never asking for things in return

She was a bit sassy and a bit sweet

no one knew what she would do next

her voice smooth as butter ready at all

times to be a light in the darkness

and also to be a shoulder to cry on 

One day as the sun was in full brilliance

Sassy and Sweet went to the lake

Maybe it was fate maybe it was a choice

but she tried to save the drowning child

but  the lake took her in his place

No one knew where she came from

or where she was going to

but they always remember her

as the woman that turned the town

around and gave it life once more
