I got an invitation the end of last year
From Uncle Phill, he said we should come here
I must confess the man needed serious help
Or one day soon his stomach would melt
My only thought when I was making the booking
Was someone must save this poor man from his cooking
Never before have I seen such a disaster
Like the cheese sauce, he made that looked more like plaster
Now here we are in sunny Spain
Far away from all the rain
I must admit, we're having fun
Laughing at his stories and his bad puns
Our first night here was truly enlightening
Warnings of lizards my kids found quite frightening
But we got past that by listening to his tales
He has several amusing ones about snails
So far so good and I'm cooking for him
Not food like his that could burn through a bin
I really feel like I've done a good deed
Visiting my Uncle when he was in need.
