This cell in the womb is alive
It needs to be protected too 
Should it live or die
The young mother has no clue

She was raped and held down
Unfortunately now pregnant
No smiles just frowns
This situation not pleasant

Should she have an abortion
Or give the baby away
Would the child be an orphan
The decision marks an awful day

Her family has so much to say
The teen is embarrassed and scared
She doesn't want to relive that day
The girl is just not prepared

It's the girls right to choose
She can't wait too long
She's definitely confused
This is not where she belongs

She decides to deliver to full term
She'll give the baby up for adoption
Her situation now short-term
This is now her option

The child now will be loved
By somebody else who cares
The mother was raped and shoved
Her life now needs to be repaired

Her family and friends think it was best
To give the baby to a couple
The teen is a bit depressed
She's sad and out of trouble
