I looked at the words on the letter

that threatened to take my smile away

I slowly realized I had put more

into the relationship that was budding

then It was really supposed to have.

Sometimes that happens in life

we meet people and it's only for a moment

or a brief time and then all too soon

it is gone. Like the wind in the willows.

But fear not there is love again for you!

I sat down and looked at the ocean blue

watching the waves ebbing and flowing

and surf, sun, and sand before me

decided to toss the letter of sadness away

and go out and enjoy the tomorrow at hand.

To all those who have loved and lost

please do not despair because every day

is a brand new day there is always good

out there and people who will love and care

so not to get hung up on the one that didn't.

Splashing in the surf I laugh out loud

the water rushing over my body refreshes

I kick up my legs digging my toes in the sand

and remember the better and happier days.

Time to move forward time to begin again!
