A lazy morning, winter fog

Giggles, cuddles, play pretend in the quilts.

Warm afternoon, water sun

A long drive, lunch out, a day out

Laughter, smiles, thank you for day well spent.

Smile on face, love in soul, a chat with my loving heart,

I bid fond farewell and close my laptop.

THUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A dreadful loud noise from outside!

Scared fearful, I rushed outside

Looking around trying to find a source of that noise,

Screams of panic, everyone puzzled.

Instinctively I glanced down from my nineteenth floor,

I see a young man’s broken body lying amidst a pool of blood.

I saw a man rush to him, trying to revive him, call his name.

A young man all of twenty seven.

Disbelief of what has walked in my home held me motionless

Just as my mind screamed to me
