Banh Mi - Vietnamese sandwiches with crusty bread filled with grilled, succulent spiced meats and fresh veg and spicy sriracha mayo!

Quote by Molly
Homemade pizzas.

A Pepperoni for some and a loaded for others. Pepperoni, ham, sausage, bacon, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, and black olives. I love the smell of fresh pizza dough mixed with all the other toppings being prepped. Mmm

Oh, drool! lol Pizza is my forever meal if I had to choose. So many options.

My one adventurous ingredient: I've put sliced potatoes tossed in olive oil and rosemary around the edge of the crust. Gets all nice and crispy. Yum! Okay, not so adventurous...

As it happens, I had pizza tonight. Store bought, though. Still delicious. It was the first pizza I've had since the pandemic hit.
Bit different, eh? Guess what, even more fun if you can make the three words connect in some way.

Arsenal-armourers

Plus I'm completely stuck with that word "armourers". Only words I know that begin with "ers" is erstwhile and ersatz. So now what?

Always had a soft spot for The Monkees' bubblegum pop. The fact that this one came out in 2016 and was written by Andy Partridge (XTC) makes me all the more happy.
Last movie I saw in the theatres was Jojo Rabbit. Really enjoyed that one and anything by Taika Waititi TBH.

Last movie I saw on DVD? Gosh.... I think I rewatched the Avengers last year. It's still in the player LOL

Last movie I streamed? Bumblebee. I've never watched any of Michael Bay's Transformers movies all the way through. I can't believe how much I enjoyed this, though. Lots of heart and I could actually follow the action. And Hailee Steinfeld is an amazing actress.

Wing Commander (they have sonar... like submarines... IN SPACE!!??!?)

Saffron Burrows
Mending, though I have to work on my patience for it. Nothing more satisfying than restoring something back to usefulness.

Dance with the lights on or lights off?

An offering of tacos... and a giant bottle of Pepto Bismol
Ignite-arsenal

God, that was more nerve-wracking than I'd expect it to be. I came here to relax, people!
Paper ... although with the way things currently are, an ebook may be better for sanitization purposes.

Getting clean or getting dirty?
I love the umbrella graphic! Kudos to the designer.

Mind's a churning smile
I'm utterly gobsmacked. From the entries I'd read, including Welshdreamer and Ping's which were both amazing, I never gave it a second thought that I might end up anywhere near the honours list. If anyone has seen Wayne's World and recalls the scene with them bowing down head to the floor screaming "We're not worthy!" I'm right with them there at the moment.

But thank you for holding this perfect memorial for a friend of the site. I never knew Alan, but I'd like to tip my hat to him and thank Stories Space for allowing me to participate. These flash fiction challenges are always a killer for me but a wonderful reminder about the effectiveness of brevity.

Cheers everyone,

Morgan Freeman... that voice, and he was Easy Reader on Electric Company.

Telekinesis or the power to stop time?
Uber... it always feels like a lottery as to what type of car is going to pick me up. Got picked up by a Porsche SUV once for a $15 ride. The driver usually picked up high end fares but was just finishing up his night and thought what the heck. It was sweet.

Ponchos or pancakes?
Hi everyone,

I really want to thank you all for the honour of 2nd place in the comp! I'd like to say that just having anyone take the time to read a story of mine and leave a compliment is all I can ask for. I CAN say that... but now that I've had the taste of sweet, sweet victory, I REALLY want to say, "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!"

Honestly, though, this was a really nice way to end the weekend, hearing about this. Congrats to the other comp winners. Thanks to the moderators/judges and to the readers.

Your time is precious. Thank you so much for spending some of it to read a few words of mine.
