Real fireplace. There is something about the crackling of wood as it burns in the fireplace and smelling of wood burning, the latter even more outside along with smoke waffing from the chimney.

Fossil fuel or electric vehicle?

I have musicians I listen to regularly and listen to most of their albums. My musical interests, however, are mostly baroque and classical periods with occasional forays into rock and country, mostly 60s-80s, as that is what my parents listened to, and it has grown on me. Also, like music from the 'big band era', like the Dorsey Brothers, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Louis Armstrong, the last three jazz greats.

Vinyl record, CD, or streaming service like Spotify?

Short stories. Novel would require more concentration than I believe I'm capable of right now.

Actually book or E-book?

Electric with rechargeable battery. Has to be cordless. (Same with snow blower BTW)

Fenced-in or open yard?

Rake in front yard and back yard next to house. Leaving them on ground in back yard further away, under the trees. Helps sustain the soil.

Prune bushes or let them grow?

Use my phone for now, mainly for convenience. Modern phone cameras are getting more sophisticated so less important to have a stand-alone camera with all the attachments.

White wine or red wine? (Do your pair yours with the meals?)

One country at a time, please. Immerse yourself. Do the non-touristy, country-side stuff and get a real view and flavor of the country you're visiting. Avoid the crowds if at all possible.

Wine or Beer?

Definite, see the sights. Drinking has never been a big draw for me, even when I was younger. (Like to keep my wits about me!)
