I agree with everyone else. I love to sit and delve into another world. It's like I can almost see, smell and feel what the characters are seeing, smelling and feeling. My heart even races when they're scared or running, etc. The better the book and author the better my experience with it.
Definitely chapters for me. The world is a busy place and I find that I don't always have the time to sit down and read a long drawn out story. If the first chapter is good and holds my interest then I'll be back for more chapters. It's the same way for a book I hold in my hand. I don't finish it in one sitting. I have a book marker and I lay it down and come back to it when I have the time. That also creates a "me" time. Nice cup of tea, feet tucked under me and off I go into another world.
Hello Monday. Got some good news in the mail. That's always nice. Which reminds me. Whatever happened to people writing letters to each other?
I've had writers block for a year. *sigh* I just don't feel it anymore.
I can't believe the week-ends go so fast. I was busy chasing my tail all week-end. At least it seems like it.
Someone somewhere in my neighborhood burnt some food and it stinks. Smells like pizza. Made me laugh.
Looking forward to cooler weather and a big pot of chili.
Getting my oldest cat. He's about 18 now. I lured him to me with a hot dog. He was hungry and now he still likes hot dogs. He's also a good friend. AND HE'S ALIVE!!!
Water. For now. Wine later perhaps?
The neighbor's car stereo. Why do they think I want to hear that?
My husband typing on his computer.
I think I know some of those people.
From another story site for me as well. This is a nice place and seems to be well run.
5 weeks until the in-laws come. *sigh*
Overhead fan. Kids yelling next door.(not mine) They're just out of school for the day and have lots of energy I suppose.
The carpets are finally cleaned.
Friday for me here is going to include a rented movie, City Island, a glass or two of Cabernet and some BBQ ribs on the grill. Saturdays are always filled with running around. Food shopping, etc.
