Well hell! I had a lovely response all typed and hit the wrong button and it all disappeared! I should know better than to try to post from my phone. The gist of it was that people who truly care about you, Elyse, would never laugh at y’all. Feelings are feelings and can always express them among friends.

Thanks. I really needed to hear that.

Anyway, Drew has a beard right now (has done for quite awhile actually) and I have a love/hate relationship with it. On one hand, it gives him hot college professor vibes, but on the other I don’t think it would make kissing him too comfy.

Oh god. I hesitate to even say this cause I really don’t want y’all to laugh at me (even though I know my taste in people can get interesting at times) but I - I was pretty much body slammed with feelings for Drew at the end of last week.

This is why I try not to hold them in but like - he’s really near and dear to my heart (and has been from his first day hosting TPIR) so yeah, I’m a bit of a mess.

No, I didn’t die, but real life did get in the way thanks to the holidays (as well as my forgetting this place exists whoops).

I’ve mostly been learning about superheroes in general but most of my retained knowledge is on Batman and Superman cause they’re my favorites. (Side note - why is Christopher Reeve so pretty? Just to press all my buttons?!)

Also, I’m finally a part of the modern world cause I got my first iPhone last month. It’s so surreal; like, I’m still pinching myself at times cause I used to think the only way I’d ever get a smart phone was if my dad lost his mind, so to speak.

Yesterday would have been Kevin Conroy’s 67th birthday. Two weeks isn’t really that long but I really hope he knows how much I love and miss him.

Most of the things on my Christmas list this year are Batman-related. Only three of them aren’t.

Tldr; I’m Batman trash and I’m absolutely here for it.

Didn’t sleep very well last night so I’ve been alternating between exhaustion and laughing at everything.

…and in other more pleasant news, I got a Batman plush recently.

Hey Elyse! I just noticed a story in The Guardian – British newspaper – about Alan Rickman. I didn't know if you'd be interested, but thought I'd point it out anyway:

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2022/sep/24/alan-rickmans-secret-showbiz-diaries-harry-potter

He was a versatile actor, and an intriguing person.

He really was. Also, I've known about his diaries being published for awhile, but thank you regardless.

Was it deliberate due to the season number or a happy coincidence?

Bit of both, I think, cause that game is mostly luck. Usually it's played for $10,000.

Season 51 of The Price is Right is absolute chaos and I'm here for it.

On Monday, someone won $51,000. Then on Tuesday somebody messed up on a game in a way that hadn't been seen since 1990. Wednesday ended in a double overbid. And yesterday, two of the hardest games were won.

Holy wow. 51 seasons? I remember watching it occasionally as a kid. Does this ... does this mean I'm ... old? 😕

Not unless you're 80+.

...so today started season 51 of The Price is Right and I was so glad to see Drew it's not funny.

Why is he so adorable? Just to drive me nuts?

Drew was in my dreams on Friday night and this isn't me still thinking about it.

Except it totally is and I am.

This isn't me all blushy cause of Drew, I swear. Except it totally is and I am.

Never found Drew especially adorable. Funny as hell, but more like a wise-cracking uncle than adorable. But I'm not you, eh. 😊

That's what (or who, I should say) I meant when I said I have interesting taste in people.

EDIT: Here's hoping my entry into the comp is approved.

starts trying to find his access point so I can steal Internet

😜

Very funny. Not going to lie, I've loved him from his very first episode.

Besides, he's adorable and I'm absolutely here for it.

I like Drew as the host. I loved when he hosted the show "Whose Line is it Anyway"?

HBO Max has the seasons where he's the host (although it should really be called Drew's Line).

My first wife (man, it's weird to use that term) loved Whose Line is it Anyway. Drew is a natural doing that kinda thing. I loved his old show (and his old TV show song, Cleveland Rocks!)

I'd love to see the one you mean but nobody has it for streaming. And yes, he really is. Sometimes he says the most random things (like when he joked about adding raisins to a pound of butter and eating it).

Nah, I've seen Drew do other hosting type gigs and I think he's a good choice for it.

Exactly. He'd have to be to have been hosting for almost fifteen years. Fifteen years next month.

I know Drew, just didn't realize he got the Price Is Right gig. That's a tough act to follow given how long Barker was in charge.

They wanted Rosie O'Donnell at first but I'm glad they got Drew instead. I'm probably biased though.

Who is hosting now? I don't pay much attention to the game shows or other daytime TV anymore. Or is your new avatar the answer?

Yeah, that's Drew Carey in my avatar. He's hosted since 2007 and I love him.

He's a comedian by trade (much like Jane) so things can get pretty hilarious at times cause he adlibs everything.

Well, maybe it doesn't qualify as a big event to you, but I'm waiting for the new season of The Price is Right. We get the season 50 finale today and then season 51 starts on the 19th.

And no, this is not a new thing for me - I grew up watching it but didn't really watch it every day till October of 2007.

It's WL day again, and as usual, I'm trying not to go nuts before I see my Jane.

She started out as the highlight of my entire week but she's become so much more than that.

...god, I'm just...so soft and so in love...

...so yesterday Jane was in my dreams for once but it was a different version of a dream I've had before.

I'd moved into my parents' house and it turned out that Jane was my next-door neighbor and that she'd been waiting for me to move back so we could spend time together. A lot of time, in fact, which was even better cause there was nobody living in my parents' house but me.

By the end of the dream we were inseparable to the point where I was practically living with her - and when I sniffed her hair at one point, I could actually smell its scent (peaches and cream with a hint of vanilla).

...and today I'm unable to stop thinking about it.

Not me losing it over the fact that we're getting not one but two episodes of WL this week.

There's one tonight like usual but then there's going to be another one tomorrow night.

Plus, I've had three dreams about Jane today - and all three of them ended with her and I snuggling, too.
