Whilst the northern hemisphere experience winter, here on the equator we are normally well into our dry fire season by now with the temperatures averaging around 30C and climbing. It should be hot and dusty as the land dries out. Instead, we are having daily rains, rivers have burst their banks, the lake in front of us has risen by 2 metres and I'm sat by a heater in my studio, drinking hot tea and trying to warm my fingers. It's 12C at midday and I'm watching the next rainstorm approach across the lake.
Wind in the trees, a duet of dog snores at my feet, the fish eagles calling. 😊
