I don't extremely have a favourite author, I typically opt for books by the rear cowl, if it sounds smart I scan it 
however I do scan all the series that Rick Riordan writes (the kane chronicles, percy jackson, heroes of olympus). and that i like his writing. i favor Riodan's humor and humour that he puts within the books.

My favorites seldom change. I read Raymond Chandler for the realistic ambiance of Los Angeles in the first part of the 20th century. I read Rex Stout for his New York City tales of mystery and wit. I read Jane Austen for the genteel humor and atmosphere of early 19th century England.

at the moment Frog Prince and rbo. I can read a Piers Anthony over and over and never get tired of it. Asimov is such a deep thinker. Niven brings new situations and creatures to life... I could go on.

I have been having a lot of fun recently trying to get through as many Agatha Christie books as I can. She is the lady who invented Miss Jane Marple, Hercule Poirot, and Harley Quinn. They always challenge your inner detective.

As for who is my favorite author, that is almost impossible, but Plato, Nietzsche, Shakespeare's Plays and Sonnets, William Butler Yeats, Tennyson, Hemingway, Dostoyevsky, Gogol, Patanjali, Laozi, Frederich Hoelderlin, Schiller, Dante Alighieri, and many, many others. It really depends on what area I am caught up in at the time.

I have a long list of favorites Tricia Goyer (she writes Amish novels), Beverly Lewis,Joanne Fluke(where I get most of my recipes), James Patterson and John Grisham....(I read alot.... The librarians at my local library know me by name and are always suggesting new authors and books)
