I would go on the date. I will make up my own mind about the person and not be weak minded, depending on hersay for my opinion.
I have also spent the night in haunted houses with no problems. Ghost are generally harmless. The most just about any ghost can do is startle you.

Hmm, that's a good question. Yes, I would befriend a person that a crowd of people don't like. Although, I can't promise that I would not fear retaliation from the crowd. I like to get to know people for myself.
