Tinsel raining down -
Glitter litters terrazzo -
A new year begins.

I'd like to haiku with you.
Let's haiku we two.
A lot of wrinkles
and the hair is all but gone
may I present: me
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
Raise the alarm! Help!
Something wicked this way comes:
Oh, it's only Paul
If you doubt my word -
Act as though it is unheard -
And then, you shall see.
Sweetly bestowing
A haiku or two for you
To grace your weekend
Party going on
For my son's eighteenth birthday
Djeez, is that music?
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
Summertime begins
In the United Kingdom
But where is the sun?
The wind is trying
To break every tree around
And sometimes he wins
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
pennies from heaven
fall in golden pools that form
all around me now
In the first line: five
In the second line: seven,
In the third line: five.

I pay bills online
I don't write checks anymore
I love saving stamps!!
The future we dreamt
of yesterday is here now.
Progress does not wait.
There's always that face
That clings to my retina
even with closed eyes
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
music expresses
our feelings by way of sound
and that's wonderful
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
the majesty of
the written word can not be
surpassed by anything.
Nothing supersedes
The overwhelming feeling
Of being desired
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
the catch in the breath;
the desire in the eyes say
"I love you" clearly
"Oh" I said, "It's you!"
"Yes" he said "How do you do?"
Then we parted ways
You do not know that
My heart always skips a beat
When I see your face
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
I didn't write this one actually...just thought I'd share...

I once knew a drinker who had a moderating problem...

It's ironic that
The bank drive through ATM
Has Braille instructions
Giving this a try
My first Alaska haiku
Look a polar bear!
The name Alaska
Brings visions to my mind of
Bears hunting salmon
If life seems jolly rotten
there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
Still are the nights, when
I'm alone with thoughts of you,
Night and day collides.
Now I close my eyes
I click my heels together
But I am still here
