You make me
Happy
Though I may not say what
Or when
Or how deep this love can seep itself
Inside my broken soul.
You make me
Happy
Though the cotton clouds race away
And chase the daisy shadows where
The stars wink their tears away
And rest in fields of moss.
You make me
Happy
Where storms cannot abide
And tears cannot quite quash
The tiniest bit of
Positive
That I may dare to own.
You make me
Happy
Just by being
Here
And smiling where I may not see,
Though I may wish I could.
You make me
Happy
With your spoken thoughts
And trailing laugh
That wells up from within
Where the heart I'd wish to kiss
Cannot be touched by me.
You make me
Happy
In the darkened night where
The monsters snuggle in their beds
And yawn their craven spit of spite
Where I cannot lie down.
You make me
Happy
Because you dare to spend what
Time you may
On such a one as I.
You
Make
Me
Happy.
You.
