So many people come knocking on our door,
They beg for food and offer their skills.
When I'm there alone, I give them something before they part.
Doing my duty for I remember my start,
Now the residents of the house are here and they listen to the poormans plea,
Whilst in the background this is what I see..
These selfish hoarders turning the hungry man away, yet they too, eat, love and even pray.
How do you say no when you have so much to give.
What will it cost you to put some bread in a bag and send the people on their merry way,
If you knew the rewards,
You'd want them to stay.
So what do you feel when u see their backs turned after sending them away.
You stupid people, family of mine.
Remember where we come from,
With dry bread and bitter tea did we dine...
Now it's leafy suburbs, redmeat and sparkling fake wine.
Feed the beggar that comes knocking on your door, and know what you do is for the good of this world...
