Floating over my life she has been there.
Her steadfast nature has risen above.
I had no doubts that her love she would share,
She flew about me like a turtledove.
Decades have passed and her heart is still true,
With all of my strength I have cared for her,
With all of our sacrifice she'll come through,
This is our trust, medicines will inure.
The universe spreads out before us now,
Nature beckons with her beautiful hands.
Passing through lands untouched or under plow,
Loving the seascapes, breathing on the strands.
Living together in our final days,
Wondering how long we have to fill dreams,
We spend our time together as always,
Never doubting our devotion, it seems.
Life will be over and we will be gone,
Sometime soon we must stop smelling roses.
This is the truth, dusk always follows dawn,
And we must face all that fate imposes.
But this we both know, this we both have grasped,
That both of us will go on together.
Our hearts are entwined, our hands are still clasped,
We live in a dream world, one forever.
