The years had passed as had desire.
We simply didn’t have the fire
that once consumed us many years ago.

But you still ached to feel that spark
that once caused magic in the dark.
To feel your passions rage and ebb and flow.

One day you said it would be swell
to find ourselves a nice hotel
and go and have a little summer fling.

We could give romance a shove
and re-ignite our carnal love.
The earth would move and we would hear bells ring!

And so we lightly packed some stuff
since we knew love would be enough
to keep us busy on our little trip.

We took bed garb and lots of lube
(which came in a big purple tube).
You wore things quite easy to unzip!

As we left I grabbed some pills
to help insure our nighttime thrills.
The little blue ones that help keep things straight.

I threw them in a special jar
that I took with us in the car
as we departed that morning at eight.

But on that first night there in bed
it was not joy that made you red.
That gave your eyes an intense angry glint!

There was no way I could go full throttle.
I mistakenly put Tic-Tacs in the bottle!
You turned away when I offered you a mint.
