I just got lost in a maze

There we were together

Then one day you took a different direction

And I couldn't find you

You had found the end of the maze

Walked your own path

Chosen your own way

Wish I'd been able to show you a different way

But sometimes alas

That isn't our choice...

I'm lost in this maze

But sometimes as I turn a corner

I see the footprints you've left

Hear the echo of your voice upon the wind

Sometimes especially in the darkness

I feel you close beside me

And I know that one day

I will turn yet another corner

And there you'll be

Waiting for me again

A big grin on your face

Your arms open wide

And your words will race towards me

Almost as fast as you do...

And I've been happy to wait, but I'm so glad you're here now.

And we've got eternity to share our memories with” you'll say...

And as that sun rises and falls on that day

I will finally no longer feel lost
