I know a quiet girl so shy,
Head down, she rarely speaks.
She fears the world around her—
Anxiety's technique.
♡♡♡
Her salty tears shroud bright blue eyes,
But no one sees her cry.
The corner is her friend for now;
She prays pain says, “Goodbye.”
♡♡♡
No hope in sight, her eyes snap shut;
She dreams a little dream.
Creating worlds where she'll belong—
A rainbow-colored scheme.
♡♡♡
She'll dance on clouds and find her voice;
This kitten learns to roar.
Hot air balloons give her a ride;
Her confidence will soar.
♡♡♡
A fairy sprinkles her with dust;
Her sparkles all will see,
For it’s her magic realm of dreams,
So, anything can be.
♡♡♡
It comes to life — her teddy bear;
Soft kitties play and purr.
A man is here; he holds a rose;
Are all these things for her?
♡♡♡
A waterfall, a sparrow’s song,
Delightful sounds to hear.
Dark chocolate and peppermint,
Her favored things appear.
♡♡♡
Replacing tears from yesterday,
Imagination flows,
It whets her appetite for more;
Creative Spirit grows.
♡♡♡
Imagine worlds she'll share with you,
Her pen’s so brave and true.
She learns to dream while she's awake;
That's what most writers do.
♡♡♡
Her words of peace, they’ll make you pause
With certitude, you’ll say,
"Hate's not the way to live and grow
For love's the better way."
