Looking back over my life
I have always been shy and felt very alone.
Learning very early on, that not every person is kind or caring.
However the day we started talking
That slowly begun to change.
We spoke to each other regularly 
about anything and everything, 
Sharing stories and experiences . 
You were interested in what I had to say. 
And you really seemed to care.
Slowly I lowered my guard 
and started telling you about things,
I hadn’t spoken about in years.
Thinking of you now,
brings a big smile to my face 
I would love to repay you for all your kindness, 
help, patience and understanding 
That you have showed me, 
Even when I slipped back and have moments of insecurity. 
I realize that it will never be possible, 
So I just want you to know that
I do understand how much you have done
And I am and always will be extremely grateful,
for how much you taught me and helped me grow.
