I
I was enamored by a dream that illuminated my mind and body,
my heart and soul filled with peaceful joy;
for I remember wanting to remain in my slumber of delight,
envisioning the Star of the Sea and Glowing Furnace of Charity.
And in my dream, the fair Woman Clothed with the Sun, sweet Mystical Rose,
wrapped Her mantle of maternal protection around me
while singing the Magnificat, Her favorite hymn;
the Abode of Justice and Love called to me and said,
“Come, my child, and take repose on my Heart that burns with love for you.”

I imagine I will always seek the Prince of Peace because of my great love for Him,
know this Man of Sorrows will kiss my cheek when I weep and suffer;
desire the maternal love of the Morning Star,
and at my given time ardently hope to see this wondrous Gate of Heaven
Who will be sweetly silent as She welcomes me to Eternal Rest.
