Snow Dust

Snowflakes falling all around
Changes to snow upon the ground.
When the wind blows (as it must)
It carries aloft bits of snow dust.

Snow Bunnies

Snow swirls; the wind makes a snow dune.
Snow dust dances to a wintery tune.
Like dust bunnies underneath your bed,
Snow bunnies rise and begin to sled.
Wisps and swirls, snow bunnies arise
And follow the wind until it subsides.
They lie down then and begin to sleep
Until another wind calls and beckons 'Repeat'.

The Birdy Snowshoe Dance

More snow and more cold.
Only the birds are so bold
To search for seed and such,
Twenty below doesn't bother them much.

Birds eat and don't freeze their feet,
I'm amazed at their resistance,
They plumply feather in the all together
And attend The Birdy Snowshoe Dance!

The Birdy Snowshoe Dance begins
With just one bird in a spin.
Soon the flock flaps and then descends
And dances ‘til the evening ends.

Scratchin' feet, beak, and claw,
Pecking something for the maw
Snow flies, the search for seed,
The birdy knows what it needs.

Seed and sand, in the craw,
Food in belly and in maw
Birds ascend, flapping oft
Never a cold or a cough.

More snow and more cold.
Only the birds are so bold
To search for seed and such,
Twenty below doesn't bother them much.
