Sometimes, it’s just people you know.

Remembering a face or a name.

You wouldn’t call them a friend though.

The connection just isn’t the same.

Sometimes, people surprise you.

Closeness will develop over time.

Family or friend, someone you knew.

Maybe love, maybe not, or just liking is fine.

Sometimes, the people farthest away,

Are the ones who hold you close.

While others you see day to day,

Make it clear you aren’t someone they chose.

Sometimes, I wonder how I appear.

Exciting? Arousing? Or plain vanilla at best.

Is it friendship or pity? It’s not really clear.

I can only assume I failed some test.

Sometimes, feelings can come as a shock.

You fight them and try to deny.

Often best to keep under key and lock.

But you can’t no matter how hard you try.

Sometimes, the thrill is worth the risk.

Taboo or forbidden only adds to the fire.

Each moment passes far too brisk.

Leaving you drenched in desire.

Sometimes, we get played as a fool.

Mislead for the convenience of emotions.

Online friends will often be cruel.

So many friends as there are fish in the oceans.

Sometimes, it’s best to just be alone.

Let people find the person they seek.

No more arrows or spears need be thrown.

Yet I crave the pain because I am weak.
