.The alarm screams; awake with a sniff
Bones creak, and muscles stiff,
Reaching to hit the snooze,
But the world's in its brightest hues.
Freezing water tries make me clean,
Just as cold the coffee beans,
A lack of milk has the cereal dry.
And yet I grin in reply.
The car didn't want to start,
In traffic behind a farmer's cart.
The time clock says I'm very late.
My joy still will not abate.
Mounds of paper piled high,
Issues in never ending supply.
Computer breaks at the worst time,
And I feel so sublime.
No matter what the day throws,
My love for you grows and grows.
You calm my mind and my worries cease,
My dearest last puzzle piece.
