Our baby girls a blessing, she brightens up our day
Except for when she’s crying, and doesn’t want to play
First time she rolled over, she chuckled with delight
Shame she chose to do it, in the middle of the night
We thought it so exciting, we discovered her first tooth
It’s not made her any happier, if I have to tell the truth
I sometimes have to pinch myself, to check that I’m not dreaming
I try to rock her off to sleep, in the hope that she'll stop screaming
We started her on finger food, new textures to explore
If she doesn’t like the flavour, she throws it on the floor
Before I end my little rhyme, I think I ought to say
She’s really not the monster, I jokingly portray
She’s cute and she’s a sweetheart, who sleeps right through the night
And wakes up every morning, so cheerful and so bright
I wrap my arms around her, and kiss her on the cheek
From under her long lashes, she takes a little peek
She gives her love like no-one else, she makes my life worthwhile
Never knew I could love so much, until I saw her smile
I lay her down to sleep at night, and turn the lights down low
God bless my little angel, I really love you so
