If I look back
To that year in my life
When everything turned upside down
And my world was filled with strife

I was stupid and naive
And lost sight of what mattered

I fell hook line and sinker
For words of lies and deceit
Instead of working on my life
With the person that makes me complete

Luckily even though not his intention
A wise old man showed me the light
And I started the incredible task
With my husband of making things right

But I stayed focused
As I hoped the thoughts of past would cease

Our bond grew stronger
And soon unbreakable
Something it never was before
Of nothing are we not capable

We are truly soul mates
As we were from the start
Somehow we just forgot
To listen to our heart
