My Valentine
I think of desire,
And when I do,
I can only think of you,
How you smile with your eyes,
Making me joyful to be alive.
I think of adventure,
As we walk this twisting path,
On uncertain roads from our past.
Our journey filled with the unknown,
It's on trust alone we've built our home.
I think of beauty,
When we see the dawn,
Bursting forth its new song,
The birds are soaring in the sky,
It is with you alone that I will lie.
I think of trust,
When we've broke the rules,
And some say we are fools,
In my mind a spell you cast,
But only you can fill my glass.
I think of peace,
On a crisp cold winters night,
In my arms I hold you tight,
Your body is pressed to mine,
My living breathing Valentine.
