I kissed and kissed my girl

Days merging into months
You emerged from you cocoon
Giggling, laughing, crying, inquisitive
Why’s and where fore’s, bossy, cantankerous
Pat down with art of flattering
Rollercoaster of emotions
Melting my disgruntled frown
When I hear your voice asking
“Why are you angry mommy dear?”

I see you exclaiming at gooey snail
Or hear you saying
“My god elephant is so big!!!”
I hear you screaming
“It’s wiggly wobbly!!”
At swinging rope bridge.

I see you doing half a pirouette
Falling halfway exclaiming
“I love ballet!”

Joy you give you father, Late at night
Welcoming him with squeal's echoing
Half a block

I see you soothing your brother’s fevered brow
Or healing his hurts with small tiny dimpled hands

I call you my princess
Angel of my heart
Melting the day you proclaimed me
Your angel heart.

Every day I discover the joy of my girl
