I sit here waiting minute after minute,
second after second,
the little light flashes,
as my phone starts to vibrate in my hand.
The smile on my face grows,
my teeth appearing,
my eyes opening,
wider and wider as I stare into the light.
‘Message received’
I anxiously tap on the awaiting screen,
trying to guess the reply,
blood and adrenaline pulsing through my veins as my hands shake.
‘I think I love you’
The reply brings a special tears from my eyes,
tears of happiness,
tears of joy,
and tears of sadness.
What makes one love more is if they cannot love the person they do.
Their deep desires blocked ,
creating the burning feeling for response burn brighter deep inside them.
The coal in the fire is the mutuality,
the love is the scar on the heart.
I close my eyes,
falling backwards from the world that I desire,
my mind dies down,
then sleep...
