Little Ninja
The little ninja quietly stepped into the room,
Dressed all in black, like the darkened gloom.
With sword in hand, he spots his prey.
Silently he advances without delay.
His victim, Emperor Rex, whose wrath all felt.
Vengeance be done, by his hand, dealt.
Closer he approached, upon the sleeping form,
For justice, for honor; by his hand, perform.
He raises his weapon in the haze of dawn,
When suddenly, to his surprise, the lights came on.
“Timothy!” His mom cried in a dangerous tone.
“Put down that Nerf bat; and leave the dog alone.”
The ninja, now caught, was sentenced to jail.
While the shaggy Emperor, lay wagging his tail.
“It’s way past your bedtime,” his mother said.
With that the little ninja scurried off to bed.
In his room, by the nightlight, illuminating his bed.
The little ninja dreamt of tomorrow, and being a pirate instead.
