I walked alone
in the graveyard of my own dreams,
And stumbled upon memories in time.
Over my shoulder I could see,
The moments passing by.
I walked on pebbled lanes and bylanes
And a wild lily in the way caught my eye.
It seemed to have grown in the graveyard soil
Unattended, wild and divine,
For the purpose of beauty was felt
In the most deserving place once a while.
How and when the tears rolled
Will always be unknown to me
But I knew it was all worthwhile
When the lily from the graveyard grounds
Smiled at me.
