Author's Notes

"Our high school in NJ has had a rivalry with our neighboring high school PA for many years. It is one of the longest football rivals and dates back to 1905. I wrote this to support my hometown"

Twas the night before the big game

And all through the town

All the people were cheering

For their team to win the crown

Which side of the river

Will be the big winner

Whose gonna go home

For the best tasting dinner

Rovers of Easton

Black and red to the end

Will the trophy go with them

Or will they be on the mend

The Liners of Pburg

Bleed garnet and gray

With Suzie beside them

They are ready to play

The day is upon us

113 years in the making

A year of bragging

Is up for the taking

Bring on the cheerleaders

And the marching band

The players are ready

They will all be so grand

When the coin is tossed

There is nothing finer

Than hearing the crowd yell

 Let's go Liners
