Of what my brothers and sisters
Have done to enrich the species.

To work for true equality
In a world of separations.

My sister Toni writes of the
Common humanity in us
That may bring us all together.

What he can do and is struggling
To light the torch of truth worldwide

My sister Suu Kyi lived with hope
That she would be free and walk tall
Among her people in dire need.

My brother Nelson forgave sins
And reconciled a whole nation
Foregoing vast retribution.

My sister Malala teaches 
To those who are older than her
That women need education.

My brother Cesar made his mark
In the fields of California
Bringing hope to those who labored.

My sister Gloria sought rights 
That men had kept from their women
And fought for equality now.

My brother Al still strongly seeks
To save the one world we still have
From ignorance and greediness.

My brothers and sisters still fight
For whatever is true and right
And color or creed plays no part.

We are human and we are one
So forget what they may call race
For our species is who we are.
