How was I to know

When I boarded that big metal bird

My happiness would soar on wings that roared

Leap of faith that left me breathless and wanting more

A weightless rush of joy 

I fell down my own rabbit hole

Adrenalin kick for sure as I rode dorothy's twister north

My yellow brick road paved gold floating on cloud filled skies

Heart in my throat as those wings gave a jerk

Descending to a snowy landscape below

Heart beating a stucco clatter

Nerves all in a rattle

Just like cinderella waiting for her carriage

Impish grin and laughing blue eyes met mine

I felt the thrill alice must have felt when she saw that damn cat

Arriving at the castle met by his faithful companion

He lead me upstairs where a big bed was made

Suddenly I knew why sleeping beauty smiled when that first kiss arrived

No protection needed from seven singing dwarves

My prince charming kept me safe and warm

Three days of magic wove a tapestry of happiness

One leap of faith

A heartbeat of belief

I landed in my own fairytale

Now the moral of this story for every story has one

Follow your heart no matter where it leads

Prince charming could be waiting on a cloud
