Dear G-d…
… Dear G-d…
… … Dear G-d… …
This is how I address
The King of the Universe.
With hesitation,
Trembling and Awe, and
Uncertainty that my King
Even has an open court.
My King of the Universe.
My King of My Universe.
Where are you?
I climb the mountains,
Swim the seas,
Stumble into the trenches
For you. To find you.
And I miss you every time.
I feel the Air’s whispers--
For only a brief moment--
As It breezes past me on My Expedition.
Only glimpses.
Short glimmers of awesomeness.
My heart swells, and I expect
Revelation.
It slips through my fingers
No matter how tight I hold.
From the sanctuary of the בית כנסת
To the Home of Nature.
Throughout my reality
I cannot find the Palace.
Where are you?
Sometimes I brood.
I ponder if this World
Is nothing but an accidental
Combustion
Of matter.
But what matter would we be of then…
Without a Deity to declare--
Our existence is Good.
