There was kid who always hid
From his parent's furious yells
He stayed at places where he knew no faces
And his alarm clock was the bells.

His name was short and gave him a fort
From the troubles day to day
When children teased he always thanked and pleased
Never knowing what else to say.

His hair was brown and he had a frown
From the worries he had to commence
His eyes were blue – a beautiful hue
And were his only defense.

Nobody was kind or helped him out of his bind
So he learned to fight alone
He chopped and slashed and was lightning fast
Turning aggressors into bloody bone.

He began to train whether in shine or rain
And never tried to be a better man
He attacked with fury, "Provoked," he told the jury
But they gave him society’s ban.

Alone he slept while secrets he kept
Threatened to eat him from inside
Stone grey walls and empty halls
Were his only places to hide.

Tears that fell were tickets to hell
So his emotions he concealed
They taunted and laughed but he was staffed
With a nervous system congealed.

He prayed to the Lord to give him a sword
To slit his throat bright red
The Lord didn't answer and he didn’t get cancer
So they had to chop off his head.

Now was the end and nothing left to defend
He thought he could finally sleep all night
His eyes were stilled but his sleeping was filled
With nightmares until light.

He chooses the potions to fill his quotient
And his debt to society’s paid
They push in the shot like it’s lightning hot
The modern executioner's blade.

His name is Jack and with every attack
He grows a little less
Until he’s short as a stick and red as a hick
With everything to confess.
