I can not stay here,
caught between dark and light

I want the sun,
to feel its heat on my skin.
I fears its burn though
and dont trust it,
sunlight fades to easily.

Its so hard to be near the light
after so long in the dark.
It hurt my eyes, and soul.

So here I am,
stuck between feeling the warmth
and lacking the courage to step into it,
and fighting the shadows,
to keep them from consuming me.
