Sitting on my porch
Moon full and bright
I ponder all that is life
The dreams we have
The hopes we carry
The loves we win
The loves we lose
Its up to us to choose
Joy
Happiness
Hate
Love
Pain
Regret
A endless list
Are we really that blind to the mysteries of life
She spreads her table and invites us all to feast
We jockey and jostle for a better seat
Only to land at her feet
She holds no judgments
She hands out no justice
But sometimes she will bare knuckle us
In these moments of pain
We find out just how tolerant she can be
She gives us limitless options on how to proceed
For every ending she gives us a new beginning
For every sunrise there is a sunset
For every love lost there is love to be found
Everything in its time everything in its place
Is it merely selection on our part to make life so irrelevant ?
Free will run amok
That we are to be blinded by her gifts
She makes no promises only a place at her table
What you pile on your plate is your own choosing
Moon full and bright
I ponder all that is life
The dreams we have
The hopes we carry
The loves we win
The loves we lose
Its up to us to choose
Joy
