Teen girls can often be mean
Does it make them feel good
It's so hard these days to be a teen
Are these kids just understood

A trio of girls is like death
They gang up on one another
The other child feels out breath
Hurt feelings that make you shudder

Imagine all these teens have autism
They don't really get it
They don't understand criticism
When upset they rage into fits

Autism sometimes gets in the way
Higher functioning with social issues
Autism can ruin one's day
Lots of crying in tissues

My daughter has been crying
For a couple of hours
It's really rather trying
My daughter's feelings are soured

They all miss the social cues
Everything is black or white
They don't understand the other's views
Which leads to arguments and fights

Friends are so hard to make
When you're on the Autism spectrum
This causes so much heartbreak
Hope she makes other friend connections

* I wrote this about an issues that happened with my teen daughter who has High Functioning Autism. Her two other friends also have it. They all suffer from the same issues and when they fight it's often just miserable. They really can't work it out themselves and usually my girlfriend and I need to intervene. It's just miserable and heartbreaking. I pray to God that he could send some friends for my daughter. These are the day I hate Autism...
