Slow time had passed, so many hours in fear
That she had gone away and would not show.
To me, once more, her face would not appear
As it had done before, with eyes aglow.
My heart reached out but did not hear the voice
That once had brought me to my knees with bliss.
So painful that she made the fateful choice
To leave and say goodbye without a kiss.
Appearing now she brings her own sweet touch
And lets me near once more to be embraced.
My mind retreats from loving her too much,
For she may change, this time could be erased.
The night is ending with her shining light
The future may go well, it may be bright.
