In Northwestern Brazil
Columbia and Peru
Is the Amazon rainforest
I kid you not, it's true
Millions of kilometres
Of trees that reach the skies
Countless rivers running through it
You won't believe your eyes
It's the largest tropical rainforest
Bigger than all the rest
Home to twenty percent of the world's bird species
The place is truly blessed
You must be super careful
Where inside you wander
Or you'll find yourself coming face to face
With a big scary Anaconda
Watch out for the Jaguars
And the Cougars too
You don't want to get too close to them
For they will surely eat you
It's home to river dolphins
And the beautiful Macaw
I think despite the dangers
It's a place I'd love to explore
A place of such wonder and beauty
That stretches far and wide
The rainforests need our protection
So do the animals that live inside
We need to keep them safe
From destruction and pollution
We need to raise awareness
This is the best solution
Keep the rainforests safe
Let them keep their beauty
I think as human beings
That's our privilege and our duty.
