A friend asked me today

What did I want for Christmas?

“Nothing but our continued friendship

And joy for all mankind!”

But tonight, back at home

After having a chance to think

I still want what I said

But I don’t wish for that alone.

Tonight, I wish for lasting true love

Not just for me, but for one and all.

Like you had just ran a marathon

Whilst bringing a smile to your face

making you feel as light as air

The one who stands by our side

Supporting and holding us

Through both the good and bad

No matter what we do.

Who makes us feel complete

Not just for Christmas
