I’m NOT afraid of the dark!

‘clunk’, I shiver and shake as I look around.

‘clunk’, I’m so frightened because there is no light.

‘clunk’, What is it? Will I have to fight?

‘clunk’, Oh my God, you think I could win?

‘clunk’, I shiver and shake as I hear it again.

‘clunk’, Should I call for help? Will they come see?

‘clunk’, Or will IT hear and come eat me?

‘clunk’, I bite my tongue, give my lips a lick.

‘clunk’, If it gets to me will it kill me quick?

‘clunk’, What’s that voice I now can hear?
