One For A Friend
In distant places, I've come to know
That where I go, I mix things up - living in spaces.
Fighting within, I began to stare
Watching from the side-walk at the circus I glare.
They play and love, but mostly share
A lingering lustful desire - with a raging heart secretly I declare
Will living and loving ever be more than a game of truth or dare?
I sit here taken aback, by memories of my past - never was there a hand to hold within moments of dispair.
I lie, I say I lie - but never more than six moons would it last.
Now there is a friend who's sharing my air - shall I take another step toward the circus?
I have and I did and, I certainly still am
Joining the crowd - for the moment I can
''Oh darling, dear friend, I've packed some Niknaks in Sarah's blue pram''
''El O El''.
For myself, I say it out so loud.
To my dear friend Shiela - She's made me so proud...
Even with her funny looking night-gown
Wandering the streets with a world renowned clown.
You are my friend.
That cannot be a lie.
I'm grateful.You're caring.
I'm void of showing compassion.
You show it each time.
Sometimes you'll need me and I won't be there to help you or give you what you seek.
I'll give you what I have, And what I have you've already come to know;
That's me.
Perhaps there's an apology in here somewhere.
You'll find one in the circus, IF you still find yourself out there.
Wishing I had some ingredients and a sexy new car, maybe I would even make you some home-made Ice-cream - The ice-cream my former fiance nagged me to make.
She never got that Ice-cream.
Maybe that's why she never married me.
No, this is not a message in connection with a plea -
This is who I am, oh darling, dear friend.
It's just me.
Stay the wonderful person you are -
Smart Bitch, Crazy Rockstar!
Sincerely
Burnt
