Remembering our conversations
and the poem you wrote
just for me, as we spoke
your way to cheer me up.

Smiling as I think about the tender moments
as you lay with your head on my lap
as I gently brush my fingers across your cheek.
Or the way you reach out
grab my hand and hold me close.

Even after everything we have shared
And been through
We still call each other best friend.

How each and every time we talk 
which is almost every day. 
We still hug and kiss
and say "I love you" before we say goodbye.

No matter how busy
or if we are hurt or angry
you are still there to help me, like I am for you
because we are so protective of one another.
 
Our pledge to one another is
"Forever and always, no matter what".
And our wish is to see each other happy
with someone that we love.
