I knew he was there, he always was. Every morning when I awoke he would be there, watching me through my bedroom window.
He lived next door and from his vantage point, he could see directly into my bedroom window.
I didn't mind, in fact, I liked it.
I didn't close my curtains for that very reason. I wanted to see him watching me, it made me happy.
After all, what could be a nicer start to the day than the summer sun streaming in and a tiny sparrow watching from the gutter, head tilted to one side? Lovely.
